As for the Postal Match, I did good on some stages -not so good on other stages. I shoot a Glock 19 in SSP (sharp shooter) had an overall score of 80.17. Would have been mid to low 70's except for a major brain lock on stage 1 -where I placed 2 excellent hits dead center on a NON-Threat target

Shot the IDPA Postal Match today
Went to Terrell to shoot an IDPA Postal Match today and had a great time. The folks at the Terrell club were great folks and even though its over 50 miles from home I plan to shoot at their IDPA matches often in the future. http://www.tr-pc.com/

I managed to do the same thing on a swinging NO-SHOOT at BADLANDS in OK. I just HATE IT when that happensPlato wrote:Went to Terrell to shoot an IDPA Postal Match today and had a great time. I like IDPA but haven't shot many matches because oddly enough (or not) you have to drive a bit from Austin.
I found this cool interactive Google map of Texas Ranges with Practical Pistol Matches
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8& ... 1&z=6&om=1
...linked from the Austin Lonestar Practical Pistol Club (ALSPPC) site.
It's worth a look if anyone doesn't know all the matches/ranges around their area -- and it seems to be up to date pretty much (last edited April 3rd.)
Enjoy. Stay alert. Stay safe.

80.17 with 8 total points down is some good shooting. I always felt that if you're going to shoot a no-shoot, might as well get them more than once and do it in style.
You won your division by a margin of 11.7 seconds and placed 3rd overall.
I didn't do too well, but I'll blame it on the heat and being pretty tired after doing the score keeping on stage 2 all day, and then shooting the stages.
I hope to see you and other forum members at the Terrell range again.

Yea, I've always thought range officers should shoot the stages before a match begins rather than at the end. While there might be some advantage to watching all the other shooters go through the stages, here in the summer its got to be brutal to wait till the endFosforos wrote:...I didn't do too well, but I'll blame it on the heat and being pretty tired after doing the score keeping on stage 2 all day, and then shooting the stages.

As for the Terrell range, I've got to repeat what a great bunch of folks were there. You've got a very nice range setup and I'd become a member if I was closer. Very family oriented and nice facilities -and the free lunch is hard to beat
