The Supreme Court is expected to rule on the D.C. gun ban tomorrow, June 26.

Well, yes, and they announced they would release it tomorrow, google scotus blog and you'll find an up to the minute report of it, faster than probably any news station.

Wow, there going to be a lot of :hurry: or :willynilly: today. Well probably both, depending on your perspective. I just hope they dont rule to narrowly. Its about time the supremes ruled on the 2nd. Cant wait.

Expect a narrow ruling although we might be pleasantly surprised. This case is only about whether a ban on possessing a functional firearm in the home is constitutional according to the Second Amendment.

That crackhead was Antonin Scalia. Look at the rest of his statement.
"Undoubtedly some think that the Second Amendment is outmoded in a society where our standing army is the pride of our Nation, where well-trained police forces provide personal security, and where gun violence is a serious problem," Justice Scalia wrote. "That is perhaps debatable, but what is not debatable is that it is not the role of this Court to pronounce the Second Amendment extinct."

That was Scalia being sarcastic, just like he was being snarky when he cited one of Ginsburg's opinions that seemed to conflict with her dissent.

I think the sarcasm and snarkiness were both appropriate. ;-)
