Yah I saw it, it was quite funny, he just stomped on everyone, calling the decision not broad enough and that anti's are basically dead wrong.tboesche wrote:Interview with Ted Nugent on Fox.

Yes, I thought he was great. Even though it was Fox the interviewer (and most of them there) doesn't understand this issue. He kept it honest and firm.Pinkycatcher wrote:Yah I saw it, it was quite funny, he just stomped on everyone, calling the decision not broad enough and that anti's are basically dead wrong.tboesche wrote:Interview with Ted Nugent on Fox.

Bias in the news is a problem, but technical incompetence and lack of knowledge by reporters is far more dangerous. Anyone who thinks that reporters aren't largely incompetent should just pick any subject where one has good technical knowledge and listen for reports on that subject. It is rare for any TV (or most print) journalists to even be able to report the facts they observe accurately. (This is independent of political bias for the most part but amplifies whatever bias exists.)
Example: Fox News has been reporting on the death, possible suicide, murder, gruesome murder, murder, homicide investigation of the female soldier in Fayetteville for several days -- they have (without substantiating) called it just about every combination of words that amount to homicide (which includes suicide when we are talking legal but most people don't hear it that way.)
I haven't figured out the basis for "gruesome murder" since no murder has been confirmed, and the reason for the delay has been reported as there being no obvious/overt evidence of a murder, nor a tox screen returned showing (likely) suicide.
It might be murder -- but Fox doesn't know that yet.
