I saw on THR that the DFW Gunrange roof collapsed today. We've had a LOT of rain in Dallas. Sure hope you and yours are ok.

I pray that all are okay.

Yeah, the roof over the main firing lanes collapsed, causing the left side outer wall to fall out into the parking lot, damaging a few cars. We have water over ankle deep throughout the range. We are going to be closed for a while.....

I'll know more tomorrow after the insurance adjuster gets by. We already have armed security there, and range staff will be around as well. We all have AR's so...............

Thanks for thinking of us.

BTW, what is THR? :?:

I read about it on PDO (packing.org), and there was a report from someone who pulled up right after the collapse.

Glad everyone is okay.

Glad as well that everyone is OK. I had heard about it on the news, but there weren't any pics. Then I ran across a thread on GlockTalk that had a pic... looks pretty messy, and my heart goes out to the DFW Gun Range crew. Hang in there!

Oh... almost forgot the URL!

This morning's Dallas Morning News had a picture of just the north end of the building, with that crushed red vehicle with "ROOFING" prominently centered. I wonder if that appealed to some editor's sense of irony.

Judging by the looks of that picture, I'm very surprised that no one was seriously injured or worse, killed. Thank God. Glad to hear that your alright txinvestigator.

Glad you are ok, and no one was badly hurt!

Try to look at it this way: the insurance will pay to re-build, and the range will be fixed right and start fresh. I know it is real hard, but try to put the best face on ugly events. And again, at least no lives were lost. Best of luck re-building!
