The yellow states range from "pretty likely" (Massachusetts) to "might as well be red" (Hawaii). Others, like CA, IA and NY, depend greatly on the local/county government. Maryland is pretty much impossible state-wide.

Delaware is probably going blue this year. Iowa is most likely to be next after that. California and NY are unlikely to ever adopt a statewide system.

One by one by one....

Texas has gotten 27 states without any federal mandates, thankyouverymuch.

Do you honestly think the federal government would just mandate reciprocity, without otherwise sticking their fingers into the pie? Not likely!

I would think the main reason we don't have a Federal reciprocity, or compelling piece of legislation that encourages the states to recognize these licenses and permits like a DL is because of one big thing...

There is NO money in it for them yet...If they figure out a way to squirrel away some fee or tax on it, then you'll see it happen...

Until then, we have to accept a 33 (I think thats right) state reciprical agreement status, thats if you got the right combo...

Even though I would like to see the states work it out the best we can, I am leary of a federal deal...Overall, I think the states are doing a good job getting this worked out...Its either going to get worked out, or we'll have to settle for where its at at this time...

I think its getting better...When you can have Kansas and Nebraska (2 of the last 4 holdouts) at least get a CCW law on the books, however flawed it may be...Every little bit helps...

I would take bets on the last "state" to put a CCW law on the books will be Illinois...With Chicago being the last pre-emptive area left to outright ban the possession of...If it ever happens...
