New here, thought i'd say howdy

Post by NTexas_V-Star »

Howdy guys, I've been lurking for about a week or so. I was directed to this website by an e-acquaintance of mine, from DFWStangs.net. We've got a pretty active gun discussion forum over there, called "The Armory"

Anyways. I'd been considering taking the CHL course for some time, and started asking about it on DFWS, and recieved lots of helpful advice, and encouragement. And now here I am, on TexasCHLforum.com. Very nice site.

I'll be taking the class the 24th of this month. I'm both excited and apprehensive, but the excitement outweighs the apprehension.

BTW

Male/24 years old
Manager of a retail/wholesale stone yard
I've been into handguns for a while, currently the proud owner of an XD .45 5" Tactical model, and an XD .357 SIG 4"
Also, a Smith & Wesson 22A1 .22 pistol (plinking for cheap) and a Mossber Model 88 Maverick 12 gauge pump.

I try to go to the range once a week, sometimes I have to stretch it to once every other week. I believe in proficiency with my firearms. I'm also religious about cleaning them.

If anyone wants to know anything about me, feel free to ask.

Welcome to the forum.

Nice choice of weapons. I also carry an XD45 from time to time.

Is your user name due to the fact you ride one of those jap bikes or do you actually ride the afore mentioned Harley

I ride a Harley Davidson Dyna Street Bob....however, when I first became a member of DFWStangs.net, i rode a Yamaha V-Star. Never felt like changing my name on the few forums that i'm a member of, so i left it alone.

This is a great forum, I was up until a little past midnight browsing around on here. I like the discussion on HD shotguns, pros/cons, and personal opinions and experiences.

Welcome to the forum!

Coincidentally, on that same date...four of my family members and one friend will be taking the CHL course as well. So we know of at least 6 more CHL's joining the ranks that day. :thumbs2:

I am pleased to see more young folks getting their CHL, the (under 30 crowd) seems to be a fast growing group among CHL's lately.

Glad to have you aboard.
