neighbor with a warrant for traffic ticket?

I was talking to a neighbor yesterday. I've been working on him for a while on getting his CHL. He mentioned that he has an unpaid traffic ticket for some county here in texas I've never heard of and asked if that would stop his application.

I can only guess the answer is yes. Am I off base?

A Class C misdemeanor traffic violation will not disqualify him from a CHL. Even if it goes to warrant, it is still just a Class C.

But he still needs to take care of it!
