NOTE: This is the "short" stock(12" L.o.P.) for use with tactical vests.
Also would be great for a small stature person.

How does #4 attach to the gun?

The small bolts go under the barrel.
In the pic the Mossberg factory set-up uses the plastic spacer cut to the correct size.
The generic guard doesn't have a spacer so it just clamps with the bolts.
