Anyone else.............

Post by RedRaider »

Receive two licenses? I received my CHL about 2 weeks ago and just today I received another license in the mail. :???: Kind of odd, just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Actually you might want to call them and let them know, You don't want to get in a jam if you don't renew both of them in a few years. ;-)

That kind of stuff happens when a "unit" becomes a "bureau". ;-)

Mehinks ya probably best invest in a stamp. And keep a copy of your letter.

I think it's a non-issue. If they were two different licenses (different numbers, different issue date, etc) then you'd need to get it worked out. As it is, he's just got a duplicate license. There's nothing wrong with that by any measure I can determine.

Trying to fix it is going to lead to a situation where there is a huge potential for misunderstandings, most of which would not work out in RedRaider's favor...

That's just my take.
Do you know about the TEXAS State Rifle Association?

two licenses?

Post by switch »

Nope, you are not supposed to have 2 licenses. I'd cut up one and send it back. (I would not worry about certifying it, etc.)

If you get a NSA (non-semit automatic) license and later upgrade to a SA, you HAVE to send the old NSA license back. Failure to do so could cost you a 30 day suspension.

OTOH, you might just destroy the extra and forget about it.
