Confessions of a Right Wing Extremist
I recently found out I am a Right Wing Extremist, as defined by Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security. I'm trying to figure out what tipped her off; my attendance at church, my voting record, the flags on the front of my house, the fact that I belonged to the Boy Scouts of America (an obvious anti-gay militia), belong to the NRA, served in the military, or am married to the opposite sex. If the truth be known, I'm surprised I got away with so much for as long as I did.
"There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide." The Monument Builders, Ayn Rand (1962)

As an ex-employee of the DHS, I know several people there who fit the definition.
Real gun control, carrying 24/7/365
Re: Confessions of a Right Wing Extremist
Been called a Red Neck for yrs & wear that one w/ pride. Guess I have a new hat now.
Was asked today out of the blue by one of our 18 yr old young men who had read it, "Bro Jerry, are you a domestic terrorist?"
Yes I am & not very hard to find on Sunday Morning.
Never have been PC. Now I find out I am DC.

Since my response, and the anticipated comments, weren't gun-related, I moved it over here: http://www.texasshooting.com/TexasCHL_F ... 83&t=24257.

Count me in, too!! It's amazing how all of a sudden right is wrong and up is down. I am proud of the principles on which I was raised...use to be called the American way...Texan through and through and I'm not about to change now no matter what they call me.

I guess part of the "uniform of the day" will consist of a camoflaged John Deer tractor ballcap, with a gunshow bought t-shirt with "Infidel" emblazoned on it over Wrangler jeans and Bates high-ankle boots...

Just out of curiosity, which type are are you - a white supremacist, or a violent antigovernmentalist?TacShot wrote:I recently found out I am a Right Wing Extremist, as defined by Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security. From the actual DHS report:
And just for what its worth, that last bit about confrontations in the past makes reference later on in the report to the McVeigh/Murrah event. I'm not saying they aren't targetting us, but the DHS report doesn't seem to be doing so...Threats from white supremacist and violent antigovernment groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts. Nevertheless, the consequences of a prolonged economic downturn—including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability to obtain credit—could create a fertile recruiting environment for rightwing extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and government authorities similar to those in the past.

I've been on several watchlists pretty much constatnly since about 1985. I don't feel particularly threatened by it. I figure it's just an excuse to scoop up all my communications.74novaman wrote:Mithras, just for responding to this thread you're now on a watchlist.

How many rounds of ammo are required for admission into this eclectic and egalitarian band of brothers and sisters?
I wanna' be one, too.
