Carry At Denton Arts And Jazz Festival

Being the jazz fan that I am, I'm hoping to get up to the Denton Arts And Jazz Festival this weekend. And of course, I plan to carry while there. Does anyone know if the event has been 30.06'ed in past years? I'd also appreciate an update from anyone who gets up there and back before I do.

On a side note, I'll likely be carpooling with a few friends and may or may not be one of the drivers. This could pose a problem if the festival (or any other stops) are posted as I might have to stow my pistol in a friend's car. I always volunteer to be a driver for this reason (plus I really enjoy my car), but I don't always get my way. Have any of you guys faced this problem before? Any suggestions? Thanks!

The times that I have gone it was not posted that I could tell. it has been a pretty open thing, so unless they fence it in (like they used to do to the Fry Street Fair, back in the good ol' days... ). I'll caveat this with a "I haven't been in a couple years, so YMMV, IIRC, IANAL..."

I have actually had this happen to me. was carpooling to a Grapevine Downtown thinga-ma-bobber, and they had the whole thing fenced in and called it a 51% deal. I just told my buddy that I needed to use his trunk, and put my mini-wheel gun in there.
course, he knows I'm a "packer" so it warn't no big deal.

TrueFlog...will you let us know as to whether or not it's 30.06 posted? I'd kinda like to go there. But not if I can't carry.

I was there last year and it was not posted. I'll be there on Sunday afternoon.

It was held at a public park in Denton and was not posted. I know it's kind of late for an update, but it's been a busy weekend.
