Kangaroo Holster Problem

Post by Abraham »

It migrates. From the recommended position it gradually shifts to bulging on the front edge of my left pec. (I'm right-handed)

Yes, I've tightened and loosened and re-arranged this and that - to no avail...

Suggestions anyone?

Thanks

Hmmm, can't say I've had any problems with my Kangaroo 'migrating' to the position you're talking about. It's done very well with my J-frames every Sunday for ~ 2 years now. Which firearm are you concealing with your Kangaroo setup?

Six for sure.

I haven't had that problem with mine either, however, I only carry my LCP and extra mags in it for back up.

Sorry, maybe someone else has had that problem and will be able to help you out.

Thanks bryang!

I've considered installing an additional/opposite side shoulder strap and 'maybe' that would keep it from migrating over from the left armpit - where it's supposed to stay.

I'm also considering installing some velcro on the underside of the holster and then add some velcro to the armpit area of the tee shirt and voila', it'll stay where it's supposed to. Of course, it may not be feasible as it may be horribly uncomfortable with the addition of two sides of velcro in a tender area...

Perhaps, since I wear it over an underarmor type tee shirt, it helps promote holster creep as if it's on a slip and slide as the material of the tee is made of a slick polyester.

All of those sounds like a good idea. The additional shoulder strap on the other side may help.

The Deep Concealment Shoulder Holster has two straps over the sholders and they cross in the back. I have a friend that has one of these and he really likes it.

I ware mine over a regular cotton tee shirt, that may have something to do with the migrating.

I hope you get it figured out where it will work for you. Good Luck! :thumbs2:

I have no trouble with migration. Are you wearing it too high? What happens if you lower it and wear it just below your pecs?

Hmmmm, that's a very good idea.
