Another Newb Question

Apologies for another newbie question.

As you may have seen from my other post I'm taking the CHL course this Sunday. Should I sign up on the DPS web site first? Or wait until after the class?

Is it better (quicker, easier, less error prone) to do the web site or the paper version?

It doesn't seem to make any difference. Even though the information is already in the computer when you apply online, DPS still has to process your fingerprints, affidavits, and photographs manually.

Either way, be sure your instructor checks your application.

You don't have to apologize for asking questions, that is what we are here for. Like Jim said it does not really make any difference and it don't speed up the processing of you application. Just be sure to have all the information they ask for and everything in your packet before sending it in. Your instructor will help you with everything you need.

If you do the paper application you can mail everything Monday morning.

If you apply online you have to wait for DPS to send you the forms before you mail them back with your TR-100, fingerprint cards, etc.
