Cousin & ATV accident *UPDATE*

Hey CHL family.
I want to first say thank you to God and to you all for helping in the prayers for our moving situation. The Lord worked it out so far that we will not be moving to Houston sooner than January, but the job is still open until then.
However, the Lord has also blessed us with a new situation. I praise Him for the "tragedies" and the trials, because there's a lesson to learn. I'm asking for prayer for my 16 yo (almost 17) cousin, Cole Headrick. He was involved in an ATV accident this afternoon at the lease. He was not hot-dogging, but rather was traversing a ravine, when the 4wheeler toppled backwards over him. He has suffered a back injury at the T7/T8 vertebraes. The surgeon and the attending ER docs said that the spinal column is severed. Our prayers is that the Lord, who is capable of all things, would work a miracle and that the surgeons and attendings misread the readings and the column is not severed. He is an avid hunter, and I know there are capabilities for hunters in wheelchairs, however, I know that the Lord has more for this young man, regardless of what happens in surgery tonight.
He is in surgery as I type, and dreams of going on to become a taxidermist (already does most of his own stuff). I've stories of this young man, that makes me so sad and happy at the same time. He lost his father to multiple myeloma when he was 5 and has been living his father's dream so to speak since then. His mom and him are all that they have for the most part, and they have strong family ties. It is tough on the mom, as you can possibly imagine. I'm seeking His wisdom to be a blessing to them, that God can use all situations, and good can come from the bad (just look at Joseph, right?).
My wife and I love you guys, and pray that the more folks we have praying for this young man, the more peace and grace that this young man and mom will feel. Thank you all for your prayers.

Oh... he is at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Don't know the surgeon's name, but my wife worked on their team when she was an RN there (prior to our recent move), and she knows their skills and their reputation.
