Denton Gun show

Post by beads »

I was thinking about going to the Denton gun show 6/20th. I've never been and was wondering how is it? Is it worth the trip. I'm in Frisco so its nice and close. Just curious

Having attended the guns shows at the Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth
and the Dallas Gun Show, I would say the Denton show is smaller, but it's always
fun to go.

A somewhat smaller gun show is more fun to visit than no gun show at all.

If it's held in the same place as last time, it will be held in the old Home Depot
on the northbound service road of I-35E, roughly the 465 mile marker.

Interesting note - The Home Depot shut down the I-35E location since they moved
over to the brand new retail area on Loop 288 at Brinker Road area.

When copper prices were high, the thieving scrappers went into the old Home Depot and
stripped it. How long do you think that took? They were not caught.

I went to the show in Denton a few weeks ago. The old Home Depot works well, but parking is a bit of a pain. It's a smaller show than the ones in Dallas or Mesquite, but worth the short trip from Frisco.

Too bad the Embassy Suites in Frisco stopped having shows. Now that was convenient.

' Glad to see you guys mention it. Last time I checked, it was not showing on their web site - although we had paid for a table for a June show while there at the last one. http://www.classicshows.com/page7.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

FWIW, Dallas Arms Collector's Assn. has one at Market Hall the prior weekend. But, in "normal times" the June show there is typically the slowest.
