Renewal finally issued!

Post by Right2Carry »

Well I submitted my 3rd renewal back in March and of course for the first time pictures were rejected due to being to dark, W/E.

So I resubmitted new photo's a month ago. Anyway my status has been processing application and as I see no other reason for the new photo's to be holding anything up I emailed them yesterday asking for an explanation for why my application was taking so long :rules: . I explained this was my third renewal also.

Today I didn't get an email response back but when I checked the status it had been changed to License issued. Coincidence? Only those at DPS can answer that question.

:woohoo :woohoo

Congratulations, I am glad you finally made it through the process. It can get very aggravating, especially when it is your third renewal!!

Sounds like the DPS is really under the gun down there on CHL's. I can renew 6 months before expiration I think and I plan to take advantage of that next time.

I tried that. Started the renewal process in December, didn't get the actual packet from DPS until late February even though I'd requested it more than once, got a request for "better" fingerprints in April, and still didn't receive the plastic until a month after my birthday in May.

But at least I got it.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me
