Question about legal Address

Post by bohica48 »

First, I'm new to the forum.

I have a home on 3 acres of land that I pay a mortgage and taxes on. My job has had me transferred a lot and I always rent because I do not want to sell my house and land. I am currently in another county in a rent house but return home on week-ends. So my question, would this be a problem with obtaining a CHL? Also what defines permanent residence.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome!

I guess the question is, do you consider your house on the land your 'home', or do you rent it out?

If you live there whenever you're not working, I'd say it's your home & permanent residence.

Eg, if you were doing nothing for a month... where would you be doing it at?
If the answer is there, then that is your home and permanent residence, at least In my opinion.

Then again, there could be legal verbage that exactly defines this somewhere. Above is just my personal opinion.
