15 shot in overnight incidents
July 29, 2009 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- A total of 15 people were shot in Chicago on the city's South and West sides late Tuesday and early Wednesday.
Wait...I'm confused. I thought guns were not allowed in Chicago...

Thanks for posting pbwalker. I'm really not surprised to see this happening in Chicago. 7 people shot at 1 location sounds to me like it was an all out gang war shoot out. 15 people shot Tues, & Wed. wow.

"When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns" is the phrase that immediately popped into my mind.

I've tried my best to understand why the politicians in both Chicago & Illinois think that outlawing guns can help prevent crime and gun violence. It just boggles my mind. To deliberately deny the people the right to defend themselves defies all logic. It is a mindset that I will never comprehend. (how about that for saying the exact same thing 3 different times. )

Illinois politicians are exactly like a man who thinks that the cure for headaches is hitting himself on the head with a hammer.

Mayor Daley is particularly entertaining. When he is questioned about something like the NRA lawsuit against the City of Chicago, he turns red, forgets about his expensive speech lessons, falls back into his South Side accent, and talks about things like "the shootout at the OK corral" and "blood in the streets."

I'm glad I don't live there any longer. Some of the shootings mentioned in this article occurred in places where I used to go.

Just look what they have (had) running the state and city. You've got the governor with the "perfect" hair that tried to sell Osama's Senate seat and the Daley political machine (Mafia?) has run Chicago for decades either directly or behind the scenes.

I know there are at least a few of us here that are glad, too. :txflag:

Armed citizens and particularly armed business owners might obviate the "protection" certain organizations sell.
