AT&T center
I looked on Texas3006.com and I did a search here but i could not find anything. The wife wants to go to a show at the AT&T center in San Antonio...are they posted 30.06...or is there any other reason why i could not carry there?
Re: AT&T center
Its host to a professional event so its a no go. It is also posted outside the entrances, but a buddy forgot he had his LCP on him until about 15 mins we were in there and ran it back. Given the venue, I most definitely wouldn't have forgotten! I am sure someone more diligent than I will post the section code and wording
Re: AT&T center
I can't say anything specific to the AT&T Center, but it can host a professional event and not automatically be off-limits, so long as the event is not a sporting event. Concerts, etc. are not automatically off-limits, though they are professional events.
Someone from the SA area should pipe up in here shortly with some better info.

Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Anyone know what the tax office has them listed as....I thought it would be city owned but maybe not.
Re: AT&T center
I was there last weekend - there are 30.06's posted on every door we went in and out of. IIRC, they were on glass doors (read: no contrasting background as required), but there could have been others posted that I did not notice. It's a pretty sure bet that there is no legal way to carry there...
Re: AT&T center
There are numerous companies listed paying taxes for 1 ATT/SBC Center Parkway or 3201 E Houston St. Don't actually see the building listed for the county though. While the building has had tax dollars applied, there was a large sum of money from the Spurs that went into it. At best this is a gray area, and if posted 30.06, probably a good bet it would be viewed as valid by law enforcement and the judicial system. IANAL and YMMV

Re: AT&T center
The AT&T center in San Antonio is a county owned facility. It was built by the county after they voted to raise sales taxes on car rentals and hotel rooms for five years. The proponents argued this would not really tax residents, just out of towners.
Also on the grounds is the Joe Freeman Coliseum. The Stock Show is held there each year, with the rodeo part in the Center.
And I never go there other than the stock show because, as part of the contract, the Spurs get a cut from all tickets sold for any event at the Coliseum or Center except for the rodeo. I think they also get the parking concession fees and some of the food contract, but I do not remember it fully.
And the Center does have 30.06 posting still (last time I went by for the Stock Show). I do not know if they have metal detectors or not.

Re: AT&T center
If it's county-owned, then the 30.06 signs are illegal, no?

No, they are not illegal, just not valid and legally unenforcable.Liberty wrote:Yes.jamullinstx wrote:If it's county-owned, then the 30.06 signs are illegal, no?
