Grand Prarie: Armed robber and/or murderer on the loose

In Grand Prarie, after midnight Sunday, a man allegedly robbed a man in the parking lot of a night club at 2323 W. Jefferson. (I have no clue about Grand Prairie neighborhoods.)

A short time later, patrons saw a man allegedly breaking into a vehicle in the same parking lot. When they yelled at him, "he ran to a green or gray Chevrolet Avalanche pickup. According to witnesses, the man fired a gun through the driver's side window," fatally shooting a bystander.

The man is described as "a young, slender Hispanic male with short, dark hair and wearing a white T-shirt." Police suspect the same man committed both crimes.

I know the area. It's mainly industrial, with a ton of sleezy bars. That part of Jefferson is commonly called 'the strip'. It's east of Hwy.360 about 2 or 3 miles. I'd be afraid to drive down that part of Jefferson, even with windows rolled up, doors locked and armed.
