Fighting Holster Creep

I carry a Glock 26 in a Comp-Tac Minotaur, which finally after weeks of wear fits very nicely. My only problem is, with constant sitting, standing, enter and exit vehicle, the little dude tends to move from about 3:30, where I like it, to somewhere around 5:30.

I've noticed this movement whether I wear an undershirt or don't.

Any helpful hints will be appreciated.

I have been wearing mine for about 2 weeks now and do the same thing, enter & exit vehicles, sitting & reaching etc...

I don't have any problems that I can think of. Sometimes I do have to kind of nudge it cause the cant and my little love handle catches it.

What clips are you using? Im using standard.

I have the same problem with standard clips in a custom IWB holster. Tips to make this better would be appreciated, though I'm not sure there's much we can do other than make adjustments here and there.

The clips are the problem most of the time. if you can put snap straps on your holster the friction between the belt and the strap will help hold the holster in place. Also, belt loops can be utilized to anchor your holster the snap straps are best for this.

V-clips and a gunbelt with the velcro backing. Works great! I've had the Spartan w. V clips & a belt from thebeltman for daily wear for 2 months so far.

+1 for V-Clips and the Comp-Tac Minotaur. You can order them from Comp-Tac.

I bought my belts from comp-Tac, but did not pay the extra $$ for the velcro backing as I felt I could add this later if I wanted to. I did, so I got a pack of 2" wide velcro, cut the strip in half ( 2 belts, 1.5 inch each) and applied to the back of the belts. I got a package of 4' (ft) x 2", "industrial strength" velcro from Hobby Lobby for $12.

My only complaint about the belts I received is that one is slightly thicker and using the C-clips I could not get the one belt to slide through, the other one fits perfectly, but because I alternate the belts (one black one brown) I needed to use the V-clips so I don't have to change clips everytime.

I was going to recommend that as well, try tightening it one more notch on the ol belt. It shouldn't be to tight to make it uncomfortable but I know when I loosen mine one notch it does move quite a bit more.

I thought about putting some sort of "resistance" material on the outside of the holster to rub against the inside of the pant.

As far as I can tell, the holster is moving on the belt, because the buckle stays centered. I may try the loops (I have both colors)>

As stated above, try tightening the belt a notch, that helped quite a bit for me and it isn't as uncomfortable as you would think

Apparently, you're not fat enough! I have my MTAC so thoroughly wedged against the inside of my belt, its not going anywhere.

Just gain a lot of weight. It'll quit moving around.

I can testify to the accuracy of this statement. The problem I have has more to do with it digging into my love handles while sitting in the truck. I do usually have to make a quick adjustment after getting out of the truck, but then it stays put.

This is weird because I have a Tucker Texas Heritage special, kydex clips, and 1.5" belt. The holster is similar and I can't move it at all unless I take it out completely. I can't imagine that the Kydex holster part would make that big a difference.

Perhaps your body shape is not going to let you carry the way you are wanting to and you will have to find something else.

The suggestions above are all good except the one about gaining weight. What is it anyway about gun owners being overweight?? It's almost a rule.

I have been carrying my Beretta 92FS in an MTAC going on about 2 years now. Back when the clips only had 3 holes for adjustment. I use the C-clips and have a wilderness Belt with stiffener. Never moves anywhere.
