My Wally Walk. I'm officially a CHL Holder now HAHA. 12/26

Post by shortysboy09 »

Here's proof of my Wally Walk. This was truly the first time I carried in public and I didn't realize how much more alert I was going to be just by carrying. I noticed small action or looks people gave that I would have never noticed had I not been carrying. Hope everyone enjoys this and has a Happy New Year!

Me getting ready to head in

First stop, the gun counter to pick up some range ammo. BTW, went to Academy later in the day and this same ammo was 4 bucks more expensive there.

Over in the electronics section, My second favorite place to look around in Wal-Mart.

Ended up back in the outdoors section again.

So, there's my Wally Walk. Hopefully that's enough proof for everyone. I was carrying my Taurus 24/7 at 3' O clock in a Crossbreed Supertuck. I wore the rig around for 10 hours that day and never felt a slight discomfort at any point.

Cool you are the perfect CHLer. You look so young, no one will suspect you are carrying. :tiphat: I hope your shooting skills are good too.

Yes, I do look young. I will have the element of surprise.

I have been shooting/hunting since I was 8 years old. My dad is a huge hunter and shooter, so I was brought up in his ways. I have put countless numbers of rounds through all his pistols and about 250 already through my Taurus 24/7. However, I have never done any " high stress " training and will be looking into that in the very near future.

Very good concealment job!

I offer only one criticism... where are the nachos? Of course, it doesn't look like there's much room for nachos under that shirt.

Haha, Nachos weren't available at that Walmart. They have a hair cutting place where the food stations usually are. Plus, it was about 9 in the morning and nachos just wouldn't be right that early.

I was very worried about concealing my gun under the shirt like that I have. I learned a lesson to not buy shirts that fit me right in the store, because once you wash them they will shrink. Now I buy shirts a little too big so they shrink down to the right size.

Yes, buying a little bit oversized is a good idea. Also, think darker colors and patterns. Those seem to break up the outlines of a gun a bit if it does print. That's why you'll see a lot of references on this site to Hawaiian style shirts.

Speaking of "printing," don't even worry about it. It is overrated. A) Nobody can see your gun anyway, no matter how worried you are that they can. B) Even if they do see a "shape" under your shirt, they're as likely to think it is a PDA or something else. C) People just aren't that observant anyway. And D) they just don't care.

Strap it on, then forget about it.

Only thing on your shirts is dont get fitted ones. As slim as you are a streight cut should do you nicely.

You look good, comfcortable, at ease. I dont know of any training "Under stress in your area othere that IDPA. You chould be able to get a recomendattion from Crossfire. One of our Mods that is an Instructor in the FT Worth area.

You are good to go young lad.

I could see where someone would think I was open carrying...

I left the phone exposed hoping that would draw some attention to the opposite side of where my Taurus is. I guess that means it worked. :coolgleamA:

BTW, I know some of you others just recently got your licenses. I want to see your Wally Walk's. If I gotta do it so do you!

Shorty, I shop at the same Wally World. It is just some 8 miles from where I live.
