Who's loading .380 or .45 or .223/556?

Post by gigag04 »

I regularly shoot these calibers and at our Dept. range days there are literally buckets of brass at the end of the day.

It just clicked that this may be of value to some of you.

Thoughts?

So.... Are you offering to pick some up for us?

I load .45 and will probably start on .380 in the future. Sure could use some more empties...

Yes there is a market for all of the above...

I'm a brass slut. If it's shiny on the ground at the end of my sessions, it's going home with me. I'll find a use for it eventually, even if I have to buy a gun for it one day. :hurry:

If I add some cash to cover supplies and supply the brass I'd actually like to learn some reloading out of it.

Nah, I'm far from hobby. I have a couple of other projects on the burners right now, namely shopping for an engagement ring. Hopefully we will be married and have a house soon, that's when I'll look at buying my own press and toys. Until then I just wanna get an idea of what I even need to be looking for.

gigag04,

The best thing to do is get a reloading manual, just about any modern reloading manual will have a front section devoted to how to reload. If you read that then aske any questions you still have BUT, be warned. There is a lot to learn, I have been loading for about 5 years now, and still have a lot to learn. (mostly because i want to know everything there is to know.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I would also suggest "The ABCs of Reloading", which has more than you'd ever want to know about the subject, too. This book and another modern reloading manual will fill you in on just about everything you need.

Heh...add me to the "Yes Please" list...
.45 and .223.

I predict this thread will have 15 pages by noon tomorrow.
If I were you I'd just gather it in buckets of 100 and sell them off at a range match.

I'm getting set up to load .380, .45ACP, .38 spl, 9mm and .223.
I'm about to start acquiring components, so any of that brass would be of interest to me.
I'd be happy to pay for it.

Ditto for me too. I load all three. If you get to Arlington, I would be happy to show you how I do it.
If you just want to move some brass, I would be more than happy to buy some from you.
