The Best Little (new) Gun House in TX

Post by mctowalot »

A friend told me about a new gun store in Houston. I like the place so much I figured it would be selfish to not share it with everybody on the forum. Check out "Black Gold Guns and Ammo". It's not a real big place and yet they had an amazing selection of new and used. I picked up a new Glock 30 and almost feel like I stole it! I saved enough off some of the bigger stores price I was able to afford a new holster and some ammo too. The folks there are real nice and didn't seem to mind my one million questions (of course what conversation took place once I left is unknown).
They have a website under the same name.
Have fun shopping.

As I mentioned in another thread, I've been going there since Gordon opened his store.
Even during the peak of the .380 shortage I was able to find plenty at his store.

I took my mom there to buy her latest gun and he has nicknamed her "Trigger" because she was
dry firing all the revolvers to see which had the best trigger.

You probably won't find cheaper prices on Glocks and Springfields.

He once told me that he likes to sell the kind of guns that he would own himself.

Last time I was there he even fed me a deer sausage taco. ;-)

Link or address please? I cannot find it. When I google, I get a place in Terrell, TX. No where near Houston!

Hey wait a minute. USA1, I think I just figured out who you are! And if I'm right, may I say it's incredible how much more pleasent it is to communicate with you online vs. in person. We should just keep it this way!
If I'm wrong I apologise for even confusing you with the person I'm thinking about!

Is this a store front or a home? I thought there were a bunch of homes in that area, but I don't remember. I'll have to look for it the next time I am in town.

 Oh man it's you alright. This is freaky, I'm feeling light headed. This reminds me of that old horror movie with the line, "we traced the call, and it's coming from inside the house!!!"
That's it, I'm logging off.

It is a brick house (smack in the middle of a neighborhood) that has been converted to a store.
I passed it a few times until I learned exactly where it was.

From what I was told, he didn't want it to stick out as a "gun store" because it would be too
tempting for the neighbor hood riff raff to want to break in at night.

I believe it. Last time I was over that way, it didn't look like the best part of town.

It is worth it to me if it means another gun shop to visit. I'm always for diversity when it comes to gun.

I need to stop visiting places that give deals on stuff I want...I can't resist a deal if I need it or not. NEED is a term I use loosely when talking about firearms. I will stop by and kick a few tires on my day off though. I am just going to leave my wallet in the car.
