Shooting +P out of 6906?

Just wanted to see what everyones thoughts were on shooting +P's out of a Smith & Wesson 6906. Good idea or bad idea?
If guns kill people, then pencils misspell words.

I wouldn't recommend a steady diet of +P in any gun but for self defense and practice once in a while - - - Let 'er rip!

That was exactly what I was thinking.
