Another family tragedy...

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Another family tragedy...

Post by The Annoyed Man »

I just came from a meeting at church, and one of the guys there got a call from his wife while I was standing there. Apparently, a family friend called her to tell them that the friend's son was badly beaten up by a gang in Fort Worth and is in the ICU. After he was hospitalized, the victim's brother (I think) who is a cop went out and tracked down some of the gang members and shot and killed one of them.

I don't know if the shooting was justifiable or not, but it sounds like it was a revenge killing by a cop. Anyway, the details are all still vague, and I may not have gotten them entirely correct here. This all just happened not too long ago tonight in Fort Worth. Please pray for my friend's family.

I think I just saw part of the story on the news, only it was in Arlington, and the cop who was the shooter was an off-duty Houston officer, but the reporter didn't cover any of the background stuff about the beating of the brother, etc.

I saw the same story as TAM.
if he did retaliate I hope for his sake that the gang bangers made the first move.
