Renewal Confusion; Fingerprints and Photos

Post by Photoman »

I've asked around town about taking care of my renewal class and all of the schools seemed to be under the impression that I have to submit new photos and fingerprints. I thought this was no longer required?

You are correct, photos and fingerprints are no longer required.

Thank you Charles. I guess they haven't received word yet. I'll give it some time. Hopefully, the cost of renewal class will be much less! $90 to renew is a bit unreasonable.

Also, does the renewal require four hours of classroom time?

Unless something changes, renewal still requires 4-6 hours of class time, including reange qualification.

Yes, $90 for renewal sounds a bit high. We charge $75, and are considering coming down on that now that photos and fingerprints, and apparently notary too, aren't required anymore.
