Horizontal Mag Holder

Post by texjames »

I just got these in today for my extra 45 clips for the new Kimber Ultra Carry II i will be carrying when my super tuck gets here.
What ya think? Optics Planet has them for $14.73 the Safariland 123 series.I carry untucked but tucked here for the photo.

I like it.
It sure looks more comfortable than some of the vertical kind.
I've used the vertical ones and they always poke into my side or rub me raw.

This looks very similar to the pouch that I use to carry extra speed strips of .38 ammo for my snub.
I wear it all day and literally can't feel it's there.

Optics Planet actually had something in stock? Wow. I finally quit buying from them because all their optics seem to always be on back order.

Nice looking piece of kit though.

I actually buy a lot of stuff from them and only one went back order from a drop ship from the factory.
Guess it might be luck but i really like the free shipping on bigger ticket sales and fast shipping usually two or three days.

My son and I tried on about 3 occasions to buy rifle scopes and rings from them. They assured us that the items were in stock and would be shipping. Then 2 or 3 days later we'd get an email saying the item was on backorder. We'd phone, and they couldn't give us an availability date. Then when we canceled the orders, they would take several days to deposit the money back into our bank accounts, which affected our ability to use those accounts (and those funds) for other purposes. That stinks, and it's not right.

If a vendor can't ship your order and they've already debited your account, when you call to cancel the order, they have an ethical responsibility to restore the debited funds then and there. Optics Planet couldn't be bothered. I don't do business with them anymore, and I've found MidwayUSA and Brownells to be much more responsive vendors.

All in all... Midway does a pretty good job....but they are famous for advertising an "expected in stock" date to bait customers into buying, then invaribly... the item is bumped 2-3 weeks out (additional).

Graf & Sons has a much smaller catalog but if they ad it they will have it.

grafs dot com.

tiny bit higher than Midway but cheaper freight.
My experience anyway. :tiphat:
