“Every lobbyist in Texas is going to become a card-carrying member or a gun-carrying member,” lobbyist and former state lawmaker Pat Haggerty said. “We're going to have more damn guns in here than we know what to do with.
"rlol" :smilelol5: :lol: "rlol" :smilelol5: :lol: Oh! That was so funny. It brought tears to my eyes.

Sorry. That just struck me a VERY funny. Being around guns most all of my life like I have, just seems odd that people actually behave abnormally(IMO), when they are around a gun or even react to a mention of a gun. I know....I know...it's just me.

To me, carrying a gun is akin to carrying a pocket knife, a wallet or a set of keys, a can of Coppenhagen, or even a tube of Chapstick(which I've carried all my life as well). It's normal and no big deal...not even worth talking about really.

They should be required to have a gun on them when entering the capitol through the CHL lane. :cheers2:

I wonder if the Texas chapter of the Brady Bunch will get one... :biggrinjester:

According to ELB's report, they will: http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic. ... 46&start=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Doesn't seem like an actual requirement. I think he was just saying that without a weapon on you, you wouldn't set off the alarm so it'd be faster going through the detector than going through the license check. Especially if the swipe isn't working.

I imagine when they are in session and the crowds are thicker (and the swipe is working) the CHL line will be faster.

Yes, the Brady Bunch lobbyists will be carrying a CHL. Remember, Ms gun control, Feinstein carries a S&W .38 snub and Mr Gun control Schumer carries as well. The following is my post with pictures of them holding/shooting guns. These cretins are hippocrites who disgust me. I can understand and respect people who ban guns for their reasons, but I cannot respect people who would be so hypocritical as to support gun control for others but not for themselves. If Feinstein packs heat, then I can guarantee you that the Brady Bunch lobbyists will also be packing heat, too. They just don't want the unwashed masses (that's YOU) to have the basic human right of self-defense.

P.S. The real reason that politicians want gun control is that it's a great way for them to get "campaign donations" from wealthy people. Wealthy people are always afraid that they're going to get robbed. If you "donate", your gun license will be approved, but if you don't, it won't. As a teen, my first job was to carry my rich uncle's cell phone (they were the size of a small suitcase/big purse back then) and watch his Ferrari. He told me how he was robbed at gun point so he now carries a gun. He first applied for a gun license thinking that America is better than the Commie country he came from. Well, it isn't (in New York) because his application was rejected for "insufficient need" even though he owns a jewelry store and sometimes walked around with a suitcase full of diamonds. So, he told me how he then handled things the same way that he did in Commieland: HE PAID BRIBES to everyone involved, their superiors, party bosses, lackies, and friends. Basically, he gave away a dozen diamond rings and many dozens of envelopes of cash as "campaign donations" at various political functions (I'm not going to say which political party, but you know!). He then applied again for the gun license and guess what? He was then "approved". When I realized how crooked New York was, I decided I was going to be a permanent Texan. New York is fun to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

P.P.S. This was decades ago and I do hope that New York has improved since then. So, if ya wanna visit the big apple, go ahead, but just be sure to lose your Texan good 'ol boy country naivete or you might find yourself being eaten alive by sharks. My dad also wanted to open a business in a prominent and wealthy area of New York but changed his mind when a certain "business group" demanded "protection fees" from him. He decided wisely that he didn't want to deal with this "business group" and we moved to Texas instead. Wise move.

Bill Miller is the "brady bunch". PETA loving Leslie Alexander owner of the Houston Rockets hired him to push an animal cruelty bill through the state 4 years ago. Not only is Leslie a hard core animal rights activist he also sits on the Board for the Human society.

So yes if Bill Miller is paying for his staff to get their CHL then yes the Brady Bunch is getting a handgun license. But you have to remember they are not in this for everyone else the rules dont apply to them, they just want control of all of us.

Yes, that is the impression I got. This post http://texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php? ... 56#p414156" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; reinforces my thought on that.

I think the swipe business is going to have to go bye-bye. Also, I would be highly amused if there was a requirement to not only have a CHL but to have a gun as well to use the CHL line. Would love to see the lobbyists and the journalist scramble and the editorial boards blow another fuse. :mrgreen:
