I walked into a Wal-Mart in NW Houston last week and they had Winchester Supreme Elite Bonded PDX1 in S&W 40 165gr. and in .38 Special 130 gr. +P and 9mm 124 gr. +P.

From what I have read I think it's the same as Ranger?? The 40S&W 165gr. was $23.++ , box of 20

It might do till you find the Ranger.

I think I saw Ranger T advertised in most recent Cheaper Than Dirt mailer. But didn't notice grain weight.

Glock27,
Here is a link to The "American Rifleman Magazine" online:
http://www.americanrifleman.org/Article ... 776&cid=32" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The article is titled: One Problem Two Solutions. It was in the Sept 2009 issue.
It says that Ranger T is the same as the Black Talon. They called the bullet SXT (same exact thing). The new and improved version is the Ranger Bonded (PDX1). The Winchester Supreme Elite Bonded PDX1 is the same thing (civilian version). Goes on to say that the PDX1 will replace the Ranger T (non bonded bullet SXT).

Regards, OE

PS It comes in 180gr. and 165 gr.

Typically, a bonded bullet means the jacket is "stuck" to the core of the bullet. It means you should have near 100% weight retention.

So people prefer full weight retention as they feel it will deliver maximum power to the target. Some like having a bullet break apart as it creates mutiple wound channels,

Try Bachman Pawn on Northwest Highway. They usually stock Ranger T's and have them for less than $30 per 50

I do not know what the website says but I walked through the door
Monday.
Handed me a flyer with specials listed and were doing business.
Not a .223 guy but it was as low as $3.99 per 20, they had a lot of it on display.
Very nice store. :patriot:
