Visit to Lone Star Guns, Gallery, and Gear

Post by JNMAR »

A new fun store has opened in Weatherford, Tx. My wife and I were over there today on other business and stopped by the new store to check it out. Fairly easy access on the South side of IH 20 not too far West of Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. It's a nice, roomy new store with polite and friendly staff and a good selection beginning stock of various handguns, rifles, ammo, and all the associated goodies. It seemed like they have a good selection of rental guns for the shooting gallery and the gallery itself seems to be a quality one, though I did not go in the shooting area, you can watch through the glass. I believe there were 14 shooting lanes with an additional separate area for their Prisim Shooting Simulator. A really cool looking thing where you can shoot live ammo in various self defense a scenarios. Not cheap at 60 bucks/hour for non-members but never the less something I'm going to make use of one of these days.

Although it's their Grand Opening time I didn't notice any significant sales going on. I sort of scanned through their pistol selections specifically looking for a Kimber Ultra CDP, All I looked at seemed to be marked at their respective retail prices. I wasn't needing ammo so I didn't look at specific prices or stock.

FYI, If you're in that area it's certainly worth the stop by to check it out and say "howdy". Here's a link to their web site if you're interested in taking a look:
