Positive Experience With State Trooper in Henderson County

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

Positive Experience With State Trooper in Henderson County

Post by TxBlonde »

Well I was coming back from Athens last night on 175. Topped a hill and started going down. Not paying attention and talking to the kids in the back seat. I did not even see the state trooper on the other side of the highway till after she passed me and turned on her red and blues. It was at Night. So it would have been kind of hard to she her coming on the side any way. Well she turned around and when the car behind me pulled over and she went past them I figured it was me, so I pulled over and rolled down my window; put both hands on the steering wheel. I was shaking at this point. And she walked up asked for my license and insurance. Handed her the insurance card and then I informed her that I was A CHL carrier and that my license and CHL was in my purse and so was my gun. She told me to go ahead and get them. She at this point never put her hand on her gun. I went to grab for my purse and at this point I started shaking like a leaf. Really bad. I got her my ID’s and apologized for my shaking and told her this was my first time getting pulled over since I got my CHL and she its ok. With a little chuckle and verified that all the info was correct. She told me that she clocked me doing 77 in a 65. She gave me the insurance and CHL back and walked back to her car. And when she came back she had a ticket for me to sign. After I signed it she ask me what I carry and I told her a Kel-Tec P 11. Then we went on our separate ways.
