George Clooney in the American

Post by philip964 »

Saw this movie tonight and enjoyed it. Sort of an R rated European movie with an American star and title.
Clooney is a hit man or an armorer or both working in Europe.

If any one saw it, do they recognize his carry weapon?

I have always enjoyed shoot-um-up movies, but since I have taken up shooting, I now pay a lot more attention to how the guns are handled, where they are carried etc. This movie seemed fairly realistic (with the exception of the good guys accuracy). In one scene that he is expecting trouble, he moves his carry gun from the inside the waste band holster to his front jacket pocket and holds it there with his hand in his pocket.

Well, the bad guy was prolly European (haven't seen the film). Euros have become used to being shot with .32s, so the Humble-By-American-Standard-.380, would have hit them with the force of a .45. This has got to be backed up after the metric conversion, plus the extra might of countries that held out agin the One World Order, uh, I mean metric system. If I am not mistaken, I think it compounds exponentially. Tac-Pro instructors being an exception, of course.

Dumbest movie ever!

His carry gun was a PPK. Who in their right mind would ever choose a Mini-14 as a snipers rifle? And then to call it an M-14!

My son saw it and pronounced it one of the worst movies he's ever seen. Also, as the owner of an M1A, it irritated him no end that they kept referring to a mini 14 as an M14.

Stoopid movie people.

All I saw was previews and from it I wouldn't waste my money on it. I had rather get into an argument with my wife than watch anything with Clooney or most any other libtard in it.

I thought it was ok. It was a bit slow at times. It seemed to me they were shooting for a certain feel with the filming but I think they missed in my opinion. If you want to see it, I'd suggest waiting for DVD.

Terrible Movie. I looked like a low budget Sundance Movie to me. On second thought it wasn't even that good.
