I have read alot about people having difficulty getting in touch with a live person at DPS, so I just wanted to share a piece of information that I figured out to possibly help future CHL'ers. When you need to call DPS, when the recording starts, press 3, then press 0 and it will ring straight in to someone.
Hope this helps someone!

Not so much into that kinda stuff, but I got tired of pushing option 3 then hearing the recording. When the recording was over, it would start over again. I hung up, irritated, called back, did the 3 then 0 thing, and someone answered right away. Hope it wasn't just a fluke. Someone please verify this.

Its not a fluke, its a design feature embedded into most PBX/automated phone systems. It allows folks who dial those numbers often to bypass the junk. Its a shortcut. At my work we can hit the # sign during VM to bypass it.
I am not one, but I know a few folks who are into phones. Phreakers are still out there....just many of them have full time jobs doing it now ;)
