Anyone having trouble with the site?

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

I have received several emails this morning from Members getting database error messages when they try to open some posts or click on links. I got this message once yesterday when updating the "Fees Paid" thread regarding the TexasCHLforum Day at PSC, but I haven't gotten it again.

I'm starting a ticket with the web host, but I need to see if the problem is still ongoing. If so, I will bring the board down while it is investigated. It may be necessary to restore a backup and that will mean losing posts from that point forward. I want to minimize that loss.

Thanks,
Chas.

I got that same error message for about 2hrs this morning. I couldn't access any post at all. Seems to be working fine now for me.

I'm still worried since I got that message yesterday and it appeared to have cleared up. Obviously it was back this morning. I have an active ticket with tech support so I should have something shortly.

I got the message this morning "site crashed" around 8AM. It's 1030AM and it seems to be fine now.

This worries me since you received the error as late as 10:00. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure I was on before that time and didn't have a problem. I just love intermittent problems! If something is going to die, I wish it would just die and quit twitching.

The web host did an upgrade to MySQL 5.1 and some user databases had a problem thereafter. They started correcting the problems and now they can't get any error message on this site.

If anyone gets an error message again, please copy the entire web address (URL) and either post it here or send me a PM. This will help in diagnosing the problem.

Thanks,
Chas.

I also had an issue until 0930. Went for a walk and came back around 1100 with no problems.

We have been having 4G issues all weekend and I thought it was on our end. :banghead:

I was browsing the forum last night and at around 9:30pm "it" started - I was able to check private messages but any post I clicked gave me a "crashed, contact board admin".

I kept trying 'till about 12:30 am with no luck. Tried again at 6:45 am - same msg.

Glad to see things are back to "normal".
