It has been a while since my first time but I tell everyone the same thing that helped me. Carry around your house as you would if you were out. This will give about 6 weeks or more of getting used to it. This will cut down on those jitters a lot.

There have been a lot of threads about 1st time carry jitters.

It also allows you time to find what "works" best for you regarding concealment
and in finding what is comfortable to wear all day/night.
