Yes, but it's by necessity. The Annoyed Man wrote:That's a beauty! You loves you some snubbie, don't you?
I don't blame you. I really like my S&Ws, but I wouldn't mind picking up a Colt in .357 some day. Beautiful pieces. Strangely, as much as I really like 1911s, I don't have any yearning for a 1911 in that brand, although I do own a mid-80s vintage Government .380. But I really like the look of your blued snubbies with the nice wood grips. Are they roughly the same size as a J-Frame?doc540 wrote:Yes, but it's by necessity. The Annoyed Man wrote:That's a beauty! The bobbed-hammer snubbie is what better fits my carry needs than a half dozen others I've tried.
Now I've gotten attached to the little prancing pony and want a Python.
Operative word is "almost".74novaman wrote:That's a beautiful work of art! I'd almost hate to carry something so pretty
Pert'near...just a little wider at the cylinder due to the extra round, but for all practical purposes they're the same. The Annoyed Man wrote:Are they roughly the same size as a J-Frame?doc540 wrote:Yes, but it's by necessity. The Annoyed Man wrote:That's a beauty! I agree, but I have another Colt that's going to get shown off.Smallestbodyman wrote:I usually don't care much about wood but I love those grips!! Beautiful!!Its kinda a shame to have to conceal it and not be able to show it off.
Thanks!LarryH wrote:Those grips (in the OP) look like cocobolo -- beautiful wood.
It's also used in some fairly expensive guitars.
