I got a flat screen TV and a laptop. A very good Christmas.

I asked Santa for a better job but, but to paraphrase a bunch of whiny millionaires,

I got:
  • A MONO guitar case/gig bag
  • A skeet vest
  • A biography of Mark Twain
  • The "Pacific" DVD set
  • A couple of pairs of exercise shorts
  • Some cash, which I am going to use to buy some a new tuner pedal, a new volume pedal, and some new Mogami Gold 1/4" instrument cables.

I got a half a Pumpkin Pie, and a Jack LaLane juicer.

I'm going to juice some onions later and put the juice in my roll-on anti-perspirant bottle to keep gold-diggers away ... or use it to cover the human scent when hunting ... whichever comes first.

Dunno if it will work, but I have a juicer ... and onions ... After that, I'll have to look around for anything else that can fit in a juicer ... (I already ate the pie before opening the juicer, or I'd have had pumpkin pie juice)

I got to spent Christmas with my oldest son who was home from school. He graduates this spring and (hopefully) will be beginning gainful employment and will not be able to spend as much time at home at Christmas in the future. So this may be the last year we are all together for more than a weekend or so.

Time with my kids is better than any material object.

My GF gave me THE best gift out of all my presents because she went and got 200 rounds of Winchester ammo at Wally World. She also included in the gift a gift card to my shooting range (Bullet Hole, San Antonio, Tx). You know, when I felt the box's weight, I was kind of hoping it would be my new Kimber or Springfield (compacts of course). Honestly it was just as good. I'm super happy.

+2 points for my democratic indian GF.

She is THE best.

Lots of time with my kids and grandkids. As usual they did not buy me a gun or ammo again this year.

So I am just going to order myself a custom 1911 this next week for a late Christmas gift. Really enjoyed the time with all the young ones though.

I got a soft case for my "new" Remington 870 Express Magnum, Ulysses S. Grant's Personal Memoirs, George Bush's Decision Points and two t-shirts, one of which has an outline of the state of Texas, a cowboy with a six-shooter pointing straight at the viewer and the words "We don't call 911". :fire
