A case of being at the right place at the right time

I kind of touched on this in another post. On Tuesday, I was in The Gun Zone in Mesquite looking at XDms; a .40 3.8 specifically. They had a price of $499.99 on it. I commented to the guy who was waiting on me that seemed like a pretty good price. He said it was his last one from a shipment received in 2010. He said the next shipment he got would be more. I made the purchase and left satisfied. Today, I went back to buy another mag for it. While there I noticed the XDm 40 3.8 newly on the shelf was priced at $579.99! Glad I went in when I did.

I've seen the same gun at Bass Pro for $649.99 and at Targetmaster for $655.00 ....both this week...

congrats, you got a pretty good deal there. about 4 months ago i paid $550 for my XDm .40 (4.5" barrel) and that was significantly cheaper than the chain stores (Academy, Bass Pro, Gander Mountain) were selling it for. at the time i think Academy had it for about $650.
