Anyone get the Ruger LC9 Yet?

Post by PostShooter »

Now that the LC9 has started shipping, I've got to know if anyone has gotten one yet. I want to know everything. I was thinking of the Kel-Tec PF-9, but heard this was coming out and have become obsessed. I was hoping it would be a less snappy, higher-quality alternative to the lighter PF-9. Internal lock? Leave it unlocked and hide the key. Mag safety? Remove it. Stupid loaded chamber indicator? Man, could they at least have left the lettering off? I actually like the manual safety because I have two kids who have been taught about guns, but you always wonder how much they were listening. Unless the gun is on my body or in my safe, the manual will be on.

If you are a new owner, where did you buy and what was the walkout price? I basically need a total range report. My hard-earned money is on the line here.

Thanks.

I am considering it too - but I think I will wait a year or so and let others debug it. In the meantime, I just picked up a PF9.

That's what I'm waiting for too.
I nominate terryg to be the first forum member to get one and report back to us.

After Ruger's last couple of offerings having problems I think I'll wait a year too. I hate paying to be an unpaid Beta tester.

If I found one locally for less than MSRP I would gladly be a guinea pig.

I'm pretty sure it's an order to stand in line, but AJC Sports in Clute is offering them for $323. Woohoo! If they have them in stock, I'm making an hour-long road trip in a few days.
