Smith and Wesson mag designation (new?)

Post by Commander »

I was looking on S&W website at their SD9 pistol and noticed that they designated the 16 round magazine version as "standard capacity" and the 10 round version as "low capacity". I got wondering if this is a bit of psychology aimed at those calling mags larger than 10 rounds as "high capacity"

If so, I like it! I hope it catches on with other manufacturers.

Possible new designations:

5 - nano capacity
10 - micro capacity
15 - mini capacity
20 - reduced capacity
30 - regular capacity
40+ - improved capacity

But then you'd have the pundits crying "Criminals are taking advantage of 'reduced capacity' magazines to help them carry guns unnoticed."
