Guitar guy told me that .22 revolvers were just flying off the shelves. I asked if they were going to a lot of new shooters/first time gun owners. Guitar guy nonchalantly told me, "No, they're buying them to go hog hunting."

depends on what zone you live in. north of I-10 i can bag as many varmints as will fit in my varmint bag since varmints are a menace to the local hobby gardeners' soybean crop this time of year, but each county can set a limit on the size/volume of the varmint bag. for example, in Fayette County i can't use a bag that would be small enough to be mistaken as a man-purse. of course, like much of our legislation on varmints, this is open to interpretation and there's no case law at this time... and i'd prefer to not be a test case to set the precedent, so i just use a 55 gallon oil drum strapped to my back.RPB wrote:varmint season![]()
What's the daily bag limit on varmints now?
i've been known to cross the border from time to time and better to bag em up north before they cross the border and start wreaking havoc in our territory. especially the raccoons, their built in pseudo-Zoro mask just creeps me out.Commander Cody wrote:With I-10 being the Mason-Dixon line… what are you doing hunting varmint in Yankee land?

Does Fayette have a spread restriction of at least an equal distance measurement from ear to ear when measured right to left and left to right? And no restrictions on one eared varmints?rmr1923 wrote:depends on what zone you live in. north of I-10 i can bag as many varmints as will fit in my varmint bag since varmints are a menace to the local hobby gardeners' soybean crop this time of year, but each county can set a limit on the size/volume of the varmint bag. for example, in Fayette County i can't use a bag that would be small enough to be mistaken as a man-purse. of course, like much of our legislation on varmints, this is open to interpretation and there's no case law at this time... and i'd prefer to not be a test case to set the precedent, so i just use a 55 gallon oil drum strapped to my back.RPB wrote:varmint season![]()
