Lasers on Rifles

I am thinking of putting a red laser on my AR 15 clone for use primary as a home defense gun. It already has iron sights and a Bushnell's red dot that blinks in and out (not good!!!). What are good brands of lasers for this purpose?

I got SIG stoplite grip/laser/light on my rifle. Too bright and laser usual able to 50 yrd visible to 100 yrd at night.
