Really? I had no idea. Nothing against Glocks. We own one, and they are great pistols, but I love my M&P, and I wasn't aware that any agencies had selected it as their standard duty weapon.G.A. That's exactly why a .32 Seecamp with Silvertips sits in my front pocket, to back up my Glock (soon to be XD45), well that and the fact that the .380 Seecamp is too costly.karder wrote:It seems that hauling around a BUG all the time is a major hassle, until I read a story like this. Even a little .22lr as a back up would sure be good to have in an event like this.
I think the way these trials usually work is that the agency evaluates several guns and see which meet their standards--in this case both M&P and Glock did. They then usually choose to adopt whichever of the guns is cheaper. That's how the military ended up with the Beretta 92 rather than the SIG P226.The Annoyed Man wrote:Really? I had no idea.
