Charity auction heaven.

Post by philip964 »

Generally your child's school carnival auction has some autographed baseballs, maybe some plane tickets, an airline donated or a weekend at someones beach house. This however caught my eye:

Spend an afternoon shooting 10,000 rounds of ammo at reactive targets and old cars. Shoot and move around on 4 ranges to utilize small caliber, rifles, belt-fed and Barrett 50 caliber weapons.

You and 3 guests take a quick drive ............................................................... between April and June 2011. Then, the shooting experience begins.

Weapons include:

Ruger .22 silenced pistol w/laser
Walther .22 silenced pistol-James Bond special
Am180 .22 machine gun w/ suppressor-1500rds per minute
Thompson .22 machine gun - 850rds per minute
Ruger 10/22 machine gun w/suppressor
Glock 9mm pistol w/ silencer-Movie quiet
H&K MP5 9mm machine gun w/silencer-very quiet
Mac 10 .45cal machine gun w/silencer- John Wayne McQ
Thompson 45 cal submachine gun- Gangster Specia
Colt M16 .223 machine gun 700rds per minute
FNM249 .223 beltfed machine gun 800rds per minute
Vickers 8mm beltfed machine gun- watercooled beast
Browning 1917A1 30-06 beltfed machine gun watercooled
M134D Minigun .308 cal machine gun 3000rds per minute
Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle w/Bors computerized scope

– to name a few.
Food and (non-alcoholic) drinks are included for the afternoon festivities.
Restrictions: Shooters must be 18 years of age; target practice must take place between April 2011 and June 2011.
Expiration: 06/30/2011

A SMART single mom winning this could choose a date, any handsome guy she wanted, and have a better time than a movie because the two could talk and get to know each other and share feelings because most of those are "silenced"..
Just sayin' if a smart single mom woman wins it, I have my own ear protection and shooting glasses, and spare ones too ......
You and 3 guests .... double date or take 3 guys and choose like that game show that used to be on ... The dating game.
What an opportunity.

The auction has not happened yet. I'll see if I can get permission to list the details.

At .30 cents average a round that would be $3000 just in ammunition.

Definitely see if you can get permission for us. I would kick in and buy some tickets, especially if it is to support a school.
