HBs 25 and 77

Post by Jasonw560 »

These are basically the same bill. Pertaining to CC in watercraft. Would amend the current law to include watercraft. They've both been in the criminal jurisprudence committee for over a month. I think it's time we inquired about the bills.

These bills aren't just about folks being able to carry during recreation. Some peoples jobs are there boats, others it may be their home.

It look like they're both stuck in House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence and only two more months left in the session. If they're still in committee in the House and there's no sister bill in the Senate, it doesn't look good.

If someone is worried, they should apply for a CHL. Turnaround is much better and they can get their CHL in time to carry all summer, instead of waiting for 9/1. They will also be covered if the bills go nowhere.
