What is this called?

I'm looking at picking up another wheel gun for pennies on the dollar. The biggest issue is the front sight...it's missing something. And I don't know what that something is called.

What's missing is the orange "Hi-Viz" front sight piece. I have no idea what it is called. Front sight orange thingy? :lol: I'm assuming it's some kind of fiber optics and easily replaceable.

Any idea? Numrich didn't show anything (that I saw at least)...

:tiphat:

It's called an insert. Not sure if you can replace jsut the insert, but the whole front sight is not much and easy to replace as it is just pinned in place. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?p ... ber=395278" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
