Renewal started on 3/10 with an e-mail and I received my new license today, 4/13 good until 2016. This was renewal #4 or #5, I have lost count. My 1st license was a 2 year deal and I signed up at the very beginning of the CHL program. I was able to complete everything online and it was not necessary to take the renewal course. Also got the senior discount!
That is pretty darn good, thanks DPS for the improvements in the renewal process!

Re: License Renewal
My experience mirrors yours except that my current license expires on my 60th. The online process did not apply the senior discount, so I requested they mail my application. It arrived already filled in, including the senior discount.mbw wrote:Renewal started on 3/10 with an e-mail and I received my new license today, 4/13 good until 2016. I had inquired about this months earlier and they told me I'd have to apply on paper to get the senior discount.
