There is a show this weekend (3rd weekend every month) out at the old Target on 35. Anyone been to one of these?
Looking for some AR parts, wondering if this is worth the visit.
Austin Gun Show - Old Target

Re: Austin Gun Show - Old Target
We went in Jan or Feb this year hoping it had improved some since our last visit a couple of years ago. Its OK at best. Pricing was similar to the hysteria of 2008 for ammo etc. That said -- I'm not an AR guy so I can't help you much there other than to say there were quite a few tables of black guns. Overall, I found myself wishing I had my entry fee back.
I did stop by Tex Guns on Manchaca and found them to be extremely friendly, reasonably priced and fairly well stocked on new and used handguns (for a small shop).

We're all here 'cause we're not all there.
Re: Austin Gun Show - Old Target
last two times I went there were more non-gun-related booths than gun-related booths. it's a waste of time. if you're looking for AR parts at good prices, try GDS Enterprises on eastbound Ben White between 1st and Congress. If they don't have it, you don't need it for an AR.

Re: Austin Gun Show - Old Target
Trying to track down a cheap lower locally, and unfortunately GDS can't help as they lack an FFL. I'll probably just order it from brownells.
Though there is the new gun shop up near me off Burnet. Maybe I'll check with them.

Have you tried GT Distributors? Seems they usually have a Stag or some other inexpensive lower in stock for about $100
