Dissapointed With A Seller

On April 27, 2011 I ordered a gun belt from (company) in California. After accepting my order and credit card information they informed me that the belt would not be shipped until 14 days had passed...duh! After 3 weeks, still no belt. I then sent several e-mails to them and finally got a response saying the belt had been shipped on May 17, 2011. It finally arrived via UPS on 5/23/11.

Examining my package, I discovered that the belt had been "Drop Shipped" from a supplier in Michigan! Needless to say, the seller apparently (allegedly, supposedly, whatever) was an order taker and didn't stock the item. Or, they could have been out of stock or something. Given all this, I think this order and the company(ies) were a touch remiss on their processing of orders and follow-up customer service.

I won't buy from them again... (On other hand, belt was a Galco and good quality...)

I hope not. I'm in California right now. Been here since Saturday afternoon. I had breakfast this morning at the Red Hen—a little soul food restaurant on north Fair Oaks Ave in Altadena. Hand formed pork sausage patty, rice with brown gravy, 2 eggs over-easy, sourdough toast, coffee. There is no way that good tucker like that causes cancer. I told the waitress that I was grateful that there wasn't a single bean sprout anywhere in my breakfast. She laughed.

Oh man, that brought back memories of a little hole-in-the-wall cafe in Escondido. I guess I do actually miss something about that state!

I'm still boycottinng Kalifornia, so I wouldn't order from that company regardless. I've found that the only thing I really miss is the wine. Kalifornia grows some good reds.

I have resorted to getting my wine from Europe. Lesser of two evils, and as far as I know neither France nor Italy has declared any recent boycotts against US states.

That's some conviction right there! I couldn't give up my old vine Zins from Cali. That, along with a Sonoma Cutrer from the Russian River Valley are the only two products from Cali that I will buy.

I miss the days when Californians lived there, rather than moving to Texas to whine about everything that works here.

I haven't managed to acquire a taste for Texas wine. Texas beer (Shiner Bock) however, is my new standard brew. It is my beer to drink whenever I can't get my personal all-time favorite of Alaskan Amber. Since the former isn't sold outside of Washington state, that means I pretty much only drink Shiner.

I have been described by many friends [ ] as a [California] wine snob. I had some Becker wine last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. I am planning a trip this year to visit the Texas wine country.
